Welcome to LINKS
LINKS is a groundbreaking Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) career technical education model aimed at helping high-risk students succeed. Services are tailored to individual students based on their specific needs instead of traditional, scripted education.
The LINKS model focuses on:
- Setting bold goals and creating student success plans relevant to career aspirations
- Enhancing career education and providing job opportunities
- Building strong partnerships with education agencies and the business community
- Connecting students to adult mentors who provide supportive guidance
All SCOE Court and Community School students and Special Education students at Leo A. Palmiter Jr./Sr. High School now follow the LINKS model. By teaching employability skills, practicing those skills in a "real life" environment, and providing positive adult connections, students succeed in positive and measurable ways.
Video clips require QuickTime; broadband recommended.
